Evaluation for ADHD with Dr. Courtney

Are you struggling to pay attention at work, school, home, or honestly all of the above?

Does it take you longer than it seems like it should to finish tasks, or do you forget things almost as soon as you've been told them?

Do you feel completely overwhelmed trying to organize or prioritize everything on your plate, with no clear idea where to even start?

If any of this sounds familiar, an ADHD assessment may give you the clarity and answers you've been looking for.

I provide ADHD evaluations for adults and teens throughout California, conducted entirely via telehealth so you can complete the process from wherever you are in the state.

The assessment begins with a comprehensive clinical interview where I gather information about your symptoms, history, and how attention, memory, and organization have shown up for you across different periods of your life, from childhood through adulthood. Before we meet, you'll complete a series of standardized questionnaires that give me additional insight into your experiences. Whenever possible, I also gather input from someone close to you who knows your day to day functioning well, since this rounds out the full picture.

Once everything has been gathered, I score and interpret your results and determine your diagnosis or diagnoses, since ADHD often overlaps with anxiety, autism, and other conditions worth understanding fully rather than in isolation. We then meet for a feedback session where I walk you through your results and a personalized plan to support you moving forward, in language that actually makes sense rather than clinical jargon. You'll also receive a written summary of your results.

The cost of a full ADHD assessment, including the written report and feedback session, is $2,500. If you're also being evaluated for autism as part of the same process, the combined assessment is $3,000.

On occasion, additional testing measuring intelligence, executive functioning, or academic skills may be recommended to provide further insight into your symptoms, though this typically isn't required for an ADHD diagnosis itself. If additional testing is suggested, I'll always discuss this with you and explain the added cost before moving forward.

I also offer ongoing support for adults with ADHD beyond the assessment itself, including skills-based work for executive functioning and practical strategies for the day to day challenges that come with an ADHD brain. My approach is neurodiversity-affirming throughout. The goal isn't to fix you. It's to help you understand how you work best.
